California Poppy Kintsugi Bowl
A celebration of resilience and the beauty of local flora.
Poppies are a constant inspiration in my studio, and this bowl is a tribute to our local landscape. Hand-thrown on the wheel from durable stoneware, each piece is individually hand-painted with a vibrant Matijia poppy motif.
This bowl features Kintsugi ("golden joinery"), a traditional Japanese technique that celebrates repair by highlighting seams with gold. Instead of hiding flaws, Kintsugi turns them into a story of history and character, making every bowl a unique piece of functional art.

The Speckled Bubble cup
This is the ultimate "cozy" cup. I designed this bubble tumbler with a distinct, rounded middle that’s shaped specifically to nestle into the palm of your hand. It’s a piece built for slow mornings and holding onto the warmth of your favorite drink.
The glaze transition on this one is a highlight—a glossy, golden-honey top flows into a matte, iron-speckled base. Right where the two meet, the heat of the kiln created a beautiful, dark reactive "horizon" line with hints of deep blue and charcoal.
